
















What is a Volunteer Fireman?
Well,
first of all there always busy, Up to there neck in jobs to do,
They must earn a living every day, Keep there family, too.
They like hanging 'round the FireHouse, As the gang chews the fat,
Playing cards and watching T.V., Having drills and things like that.
It's true there not home a lot, But rather at the station,
And when convention time rolls 'round, There there, That's there vacation.
They known to be awakened by the alarm, Late at night,
The sound that's there warning, There's a fire somewhere to fight.
There highly trained in fighting fires, They've passed the EMT test,
In Fact in all emergencies, You can bet there one of the best.
Most times there rather happy, Taking pride in there fire team,
In the hose that must fold perfect and the engines that must gleam.
There splendid in there uniform when they parades in competition,
Always hoping that there company will win highest recognition.
They only asks just once a year for the citizen's donation,
To help improve equipment and to operate the station.
They devote much time and effort, To the biggest job in town,
So there a mighty important person to always have around.
Now fellows, Since this verse is made in modest salutation,
We wish you one and all to know, You're important to our Nation.
And so in closing may we add, Our thanks and our esteem,
To the men & Woman who are living up to a little Child's dream.
