Scottsbluff Fire Department Stations 1 and 2
The old and the new two generations of Engine 1. It is totally amazing the size difference of the two.
Scottsbluff Fire
Department Engine 1 is a 1996 Freightliner, with a 5 man cab, a 1250
GPM Pump, a 1000 gallons of water on board, and has the cappabilities
to pump both foam and water. Engine 1 is first due on all Structure
fires, grass fires, car fires, Automatic Alarms, and other fire related
emergencies. They also respond on all injury accidents with the Rescue
Unit. Engine 1 is manned by the career firefighter and operates out of
Station 1.
Scottsbluff Fire Department Engine 2 is almost a twin
to Engine 1, the main difference is in the age of the rig. It is a year
younger than Engine 1 and is operated by the Volunteer's out of Station
2. Engine 2 is second due on all structure fires, car fires, grass
fire, etc. and is first due on all calls when Engine 1 is tied up on
another run.
Scottsbluff Fire Department Engine 3 is a Pierce and
operates out of Station 1. It is manned by the off duty career
firefighters and is third due on all structure fires. It too is a 1250
GPM pump with 750 gallons of water on board. The picture was taken
while Engine 3 was out of service and was at Station 2.
Scottsbluff Fire Department Engine 4 is an early 80's
Mack with a 5 man cab and is 4 th due on all structure fires. The
Engine has a 1250 GPM pump and has 1000 gallons of water on board.
Engine 4 served as Engine 1 during most of the 80's and the 90's. It
operates out of Station 2 and is manned by the volunteers.
Truck 1 is a 1972 Snorkel and has served the City of
Scottsbluff for the past 34 years. It has seen action at all of the
major fires in and around Scottsbluff. It has a four man cab and
operates out of Station 1. It is manned by the career firefighters and
responds on all structure fires.
Another picture of Truck 1 while the career
firefighters were working with the rig.
Scottsbluff Fire Department Engine 5 is the department main brush truck
and it responds on all grass fires in the City of Scottsbluff. It also
responds on Mutual Aid Calls for grass fires. It operates out of
Station 1 and is manned by the Career Firefighters.
Scottsbluff Fire Department Rescue 1 is perhaps the
busiest of all of the Scottsbluff equipment, responding on all injury
and non-injury accidents, all EMS calls, and other calls as necessary.
Rescue 1 is manned by the career firefighters and is the departments
BLS unit.
