This portion of the website is a little different than the rest. Most firefighting websites have either some or none at all and I decided that I wanted to add some poetry to the site. For me Firefighting Poetry has always been a part of my career as a Volunteer Firefighter. For me it is a way for me to tell my friends and family what it is like to do battle with the red devil himself. This portion of the site will always be ad free as are the pages with the poems on them. The only thing on these pages will be the navigation buttons and the email buttons on the bottom.
I have been very fortunate in that my wife, although she worried and wished that my pager would go away at times, has always supported my love for firefighting in one way or another. She just did not want to hear about it.
So here are the poems that I have always enjoyed and have always kept a copy of both on my computer and, in some cases, on my wall or in a notebook. I cannot and will not take credit for any of these poems. They are all ones that I have found on various site and have saved.
