The Lincoln Municipal Airport
Firefighting duties fall on the shoulder of the Nebraska Air National
Gaurd Unit at the Airport. One of the two fire stations at the air port
is shared with the Lincoln Fire And Rescue Department, Station
11, and sometime in the future the Lincoln Fire And Rescue
Station will be moving to a different location.
The
National Gaurd Fire Department was out in force at the Gaurdians of
Freedom Airshow in 2006 and I had the opprotunity to photograph a few
of their rigs at that time. I plan on paying a visit to the station on
the main base portion and when I am able I will post those pictures.
